In January, we've received notice we'd been selected as a Silver level website design company by Ad World Masters. The rankings are between 0 and 10. You can see Ad World Masters' agency rankings here and scroll down to the "9"rankings to see us in the list.
The rankings have nothing to do with a pay-to-play scheme, and we've not ever purchased a listing, or done any advertising, with Ad World Masters company. Ad World Masters is based in the U.K., and according to their website, they've reviewed almost 12,000 website design firms in 78 countries, awarding:
- 94 agencies with Gold
- 607 agencies with Silver, and
- 463 agencies with Bronze
... so less than 10 percent of the agencies reviewed were selected to be on their list.
How each website design company is ranked
According to their website, Agency Scores are based on a numerical ranking between 0 and 10, which determines ranking of each agency, or website development company. The ranking represents comparative performance, not taking the size of a company into consideration, so we're being compared to companies much larger than us. For the rankings, the average agency size being about 30 people.
The only other company with a Silver ranking in Ohio, appears to be Ologie, who, from their website, seem to have over 70 folks working there. We're a small, but mighty, group of 3 who work with a cadre of freelancers who are experts in their respective fields.
Ad World Masters help marketing managers find agencies. They use a proprietary system which combines crowd-sourced information and other verified data to assign a number to their Agency Scorecard. Their ranking includes things such as company reviews, a company's SEO ranking, their awards, social media posts and followers, and more. According to Ad World's system, no manual modifications can change the agencies or website designers' score. Evidently, this allows them to detect suspicious data input so they can be sure nobody tries to game their system.
So are we the best Columbus website design company?
Well, we shouldn't say that. There are many Columbus website companies we admire. (Of course, we're not going to promote any of them here!) But we like to think we're one of the top web design companies in Columbus.
